The Challenge
A Certina DS Action with an ETA 2824-2 movement had been sitting in a drawer for three years. The owner noticed it was losing over 45 seconds per day and the date function was sticking intermittently.
Our Solution
Full disassembly revealed dried lubricant on the date mechanism and a worn mainspring. We replaced the mainspring with a genuine ETA part, cleaned all components ultrasonically, re-lubricated with Moebius 9010 and 9415, and regulated the movement.
The Result
Post-service timing showed +3 seconds per day across six positions — well within manufacturer specs. The date function clicks over cleanly at midnight. Service completed in 12 working days with a full record card.
The Challenge
A Seiko Prospex diver had a severely faded aluminium bezel insert — the numerals were barely legible after years of daily wear and UV exposure. The owner wanted it restored without losing the watch's character.
Our Solution
We sourced a compatible aluminium insert matched for size and font style. The bezel assembly was carefully removed, the old insert extracted, and the new one seated with proper adhesion. Click-spring mechanism was tested for 120 clicks.
The Result
Clean alignment at 12 o'clock, consistent unidirectional action across the full 360-degree rotation. The owner described it as looking like a new watch while still feeling like his. Completed in 6 working days.
The Challenge
A vintage Citizen quartz with a dead movement — the second hand had been ticking erratically for months before stopping entirely. The original caliber was discontinued and no longer available through standard channels.
Our Solution
We identified the original Miyota caliber and sourced a compatible replacement that matched the hand post sizes, date window position, and case dimensions. The original dial, hands, and date disc were transferred to the new movement without damage.
The Result
After a fresh battery installation and 24-hour monitoring, the watch held perfect time with no deviation. The owner had been told elsewhere that the watch couldn't be fixed — it just needed the right replacement caliber. Completed in 8 working days.
